Micro
A downloadable game for Windows
You are a technician working in a micro lab.
You have some tasks to fulfill. Each achievement gives you pride.
Learn some tools used in a real lab.
There a skippable tutorial and a small "story". Otherwise, the game is mainly a simulation. You play mainly by clicking things with you left mouse button. You can also inspect the petri dishes with the right mouse button.
Once you have accomplished the three first tasks, you will enter endless mode. In this mode you will be provided with new random tasks, once you have finished all the pending work.
Made with Game Maker Studio 1.4
Disclaimer :
The way the biological samples are "washed" is very simplified. Don't just throw samples in a sink ! Also sometimes a bensen burner is not enough to manipulate some micro.

I like the sandbox nature of this. I especially like that thought has given to the finer details (fridge has the temp on it etc.). It would have been cool to see the temp go up if you spent too long with the fridge open etc.
One bit of feedback would be to make the objectives a little more clearly attainable. I found there isn't much going on in terms of feedback to the player in how to achieve each objective etc.
I still had plans to add loads of features ! For example, selective mediums, expanding the manual and explaining needs and auxotrophy. I worked on some of them but didn't update the game as I still have to change the way the objectives works to adapt them to these new changes.
Well done figuring out how to complete the objectives with so little help. Did you unlock endless mode ?
Unfortunately not as I didn't have the time to keep playing about. I enjoyed it all the same.
I'd be interested to see what it becomes with some more features implemented etc. It would likely become a very interesting little mini-game!
